Offensive tackle Corey Robinson (Havelock, N.C./Havelock) holds a South Carolina offer and is closing in on a decision. He spoke with TheBigSpur.com on Thursday afternoon about where the Gamecocks stand, when he may announce and what schools are in the mix.
Robinson spoke with TBS about the forthcoming decision and when he will announce.

"I'm going to commit on Tuesday at 10 in the morning," he said.

The 6-foot-7, 295-pounder recently camped at North Carolina.

"It went pretty good," he said. "I thought I did OK. The coaches said I did good and they want to see my first two game tapes of this coming season."

Robinson added that North Carolina State invited him to camp, but he didn't make it. He also said East Carolina planned to evaluate him at a camp next month.

Robinson worked out at the Gamecocks' offensive-defensive line camp on June 6 and is impressed with Carolina.

"The coaches, the people, and they play in the SEC is what stands out about them," he said. "(USC defensive line coach and area recruiter) Brad Lawing is a cool person. He was straight up with me since he started recruiting me. (South Carolina offensive line coach) Eric Wolford is an aggressive and hands on coach. He gets into the drills with you. If you do something wrong, then he will tell you to get you going. He is like my high school coach. The stadium and the weight room was all nice. I liked the drills we did during camp. They were physical drills that helped you with your run blocking."

One school stands out right now.

"I am favoring South Carolina right now and there is a good chance I commit to them on Tuesday."
